Lori Johnson is a second generation native Californian, born in Los Angeles. She studied art in L.A., San Francisco, and Hawaii. She studied with many artists, including Robert E. Wood and Jake Lee, internationally known watercolorists. Ann Templeton, an oil and pastel artist, influenced her the most in her use of gorgeous colors. After many years of working in all mediums she realized she loved acrylics which are now her chosen medium. She has exhibited throughout the US and has won countless awards. She has painted commissions of people, people from old photographs, houses, businesses, and pets.
