When I receive your photo's I look through them and decide which one would make the best pose.  I contact you by email and tell you which photo I think would be the best pose and see if you agree.  If you agree I enlarge the photo to an 8 X 10 and work from that.  If you have a different photo you want instead, of course I would do the one you want.  Then you give me your thoughts and feelings about the subject, which makes it more personal for me.

I sketch in the subject and spray the charcoal to set it.  Then I begin painting in acrylics.  I lay in all the basic colors and shapes.  Next I concentrate on light and shadow areas.  This takes layers of paint to achieve all the colors.  This process goes on for days.  Changing this and that, taking out things that are unnecessary.  I then study the painting for several days and see if I can find anything else to do to it.  When I finally think it's done I will send you an email photo of it to see if you approve and if you'd like any changes.  If there are changes I do those and then send you another photo email.  Until we are both in agreement it is just what you want.  Then I varnish the painting.  When it is dry in a day I can package it and ship it to you. I do not furnish a frame, because everyone differs on width of frames and colors.  I can refer you to some catalogs for good prices.
